offers alone, making Henry E. Lackey High School one of the elite programs in the state of
Maryland.
Coach Lamb writes, " Henry E. Lackey high School is truly a special place to coach football.
From the administrative team, faculty, staff, pastoral support, parents, alumni, and fans; our
players truly feel they are a part of a family. The class of 2007 and 2008 are truly
extraordinary young men. We as coaches are humbled and blessed to have played a small
part in their lives. Our parents and family should justly be commended on raising such fine
men."
"The 2008 season has already begun. Our coaching staff has been in the weight room
working everyday with our players to put the most competitive team on the field. The
members of the coaching staff here at Lackey are teachers first who stress the term, ‘student
athlete.’ We are looking forward to what could be a potentially great season and are eager to
field a team that will represent the tremendously supportive Lackey community with honor.”
Coach continues, "We start out of the gate Week 1 visiting the perennial 3A power Urbana
Hawks. This is one of the best programs in all of Maryland and we are looking forward to
the challenge of playing the Hawks in Urbana. Not many teams in the state can say they have
a playoff game week one, we can. This will most definitely be a game of interest not only in
the state, but all of the Washington D.C. Metro area.
The S.M.A.C.conference is one of the most underrated yet competitive conferences in the
state. Our schedule is one that makes it vital for us to be prepared for the challenges
presented to us every week. Every team will be ready to play, and this year, it's anyone's to
win.
